Why Pursue an Ed.S. in School Psychology at Chapman University?

LPCC Option: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

Earn your Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) credential with the coursework you need to meet state licensing requirements. Gain the skills to practice counseling and psychotherapy in schools, clinics, community mental health settings, or private practice.

Complete fieldwork through more than 90 active agreements with school districts across Southern California, with many graduates starting their teaching careers in the same districts.

The program is accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), California Association of School Psychologists (CASP), and International School Psychology Association (ISPA).

Are there any information sessions offered?

Do I need a bachelor’s degree in psychology?

No. Our students come from a variety of educational backgrounds. The vast majority have degrees in psychology, human or child development, sociology, or education. However, we have had successful students complete the program with a wide variety of undergraduate areas of study. If your academic background is in a completely different field (e.g., Chemistry), we strongly recommend that you complete some additional college-level coursework in general psychology, child development, and/or education.

What is the program tuition?

The tuition for the Ed.S. in School Psychology program is $1,200 per credit.
